Great ride, quite challenging. About 50kms but nearly 3 hours to cover it. Myself and my 12 year old tackled the wide variety of terrain and the weather held although it had been quite damp and sometimes tricky
because of that. Track was well marked and in some places the standard (white) track was tough enough for us, although we did take on a few of the dedicated blue tracks. This is a great ride and we will be doing it again next time. The wide variety of terrain entails
forest access roads, bush tracks cut through the forests and gorse, the odd bog at the bottom of the valley, hillsides where logging had recently been completed and tight single track amongst the pine forests on dry forest bed where tree roots try to throw you, and
then some green grassy farm paddocks where the cobwebs get blown out.
